MIXED VEG. PULLAO

INGREDIENTS

7 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 bay leaves, 2 sticks of cinnamon, 4 brown cardamom, 5 cloves, 3 medium (1/4 kg) of carrots peeled and cut into long strips, 100 grams of French beans cut into required size or long strips, 1 cup of peas shelled or frozen, 3 cups of basmati rice washed and drained, salt to taste, 3 ½ cups of water.


PREPARATION

1. Heat oil in cooker for about 2 min and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms, and cloves. Stir for a few seconds and add carrots, beans and peas. Stir and fry for about 2 min and add rice. Fry till rice turns opaque (approx 3min). And add salt and water. Stir once.

2. Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 3min.

3. Remove cooker from heat and allow to cool naturally for 5-8 min. release pressure with slight lifting of vent heat.

4. Open cooker. And your dish is ready. Serve delicious and tasty hot mixed vegetable pulav. It can be served with raita for about 8 guests
